After recently moving to the area our clients Rachel and Mike got in touch to discuss plans to add to their existing kitchen design. They wanted to increase the amount of storage and workspace in the kitchen and originally thought adding an island would be the best way to achieve this.
Following a visit to their home and a follow up to our Oxfordshire showroom we recommended that the best approach would be an entirely new kitchen to really give them the impactful finish they wanted.
We moved forward with this approach but kept the desire for an island front and centre in our plans.
Once the new kitchen design was underway we worked closely with Rachel and Mike to bring their vision to life.
A classic shaker kitchen with a warm, natural and light feel.
The kitchen design incorporated many bespoke storage solutions. From an integrated fridge freezer, built in pantry cupboard and under island storage to handmade tray units, bespoke cutlery dividers and bin storage. This kitchen designanswered all of the needs of Rachael and Mike making the final result not only visually stunning but highly practical.
Even the dogs love it!

“We had not planned to replace the kitchen in our new home so soon but felt the original kitchen needed the addition of an island, to give us more storage & work-surface. I had made a note of Cherrywood Bespoke a local company, after seeing their work on Instagram. Cutting a long story short, after a visit by Luke to the House & a visit to their show room, we decided on Luke’s advice during his visit, that building an Island that would never quite look the same as the original kitchen, would not give us the wow we were looking for, so we took the decision to go for a complete new kitchen! We have certainly not regretted that decision, he worked professionally & conscientiously throughout the entire project and both he and his employees attention to detail & passion for their jobs shines through in our finished kitchen. Luke was a delight to work with, helping us through every decision we needed to make to design our dream kitchen, going as far as setting up a mock Island in our kitchen, to make sure we were happy with the size of the Island & inviting us down to the work shop to see the kitchen being made, nothing was too much trouble. we are so lucky to not only have a dream kitchen that gives us a wow every day but one that is also a joy to cook, eat & entertain in. We are delighted with our kitchen built by Cherrywood Bespoke & highly recommended them.”
